The liver is a remarkable organ with multiple functions, the metabolic functions are countless. LIVER TONE has been especially developed to speed up the mobilisation and transportation of important fatty acids through the blood stream to storage depots in the body cavity. Some fatty acids are also exported to the breast muscle and are stored in the red muscle fibres where they are ready to be used as the key source of energy for prolonged flight. This is called the Lipotropic factor which also speeds up the utilisation of fatty acids in the liver itself. Recent scientific research has shown that the liver is of vital importance to racing pigeons and is something that has, in the past been overlooked.
